A unique way of visiting the Perito Moreno Glacier, with an untraditional slant, and packed with adventure! We are inviting you to feel the glacier’s force, and experience it close up and personal, kayaking in the waters of Lago Argentino.
A transfer picks up from our hotel to take us to the meeting point with the rest of the group at the Perito Moreno Kayak Experience in the main car park. Here, we’ll meet our expert guides who provide information about the day ahead.
They give us the necessary equipment along with the safety precautions and basic paddling techniques, so we can enjoy the stunning waters of the lake and some unbeatable views.
We start paddling from the ‘Beach of the Icebergs’ towards the glacier, until we’re about 600 metres away. From this distance, we can already feel the force of the ice hitting the water.
After enjoying this unique experience, we return to the beach and have our box lunches. We also have some free time to visit (self-guided) the walkways. At the end of the day, we head back to our accommodation in El Calafate.
