An adventure day combining kayaking the beautiful glacier waters of river “Río La Leona”, and trekking on mountain “Cerro Los Hornos” one of the most ancients rock formations of the planet where we can see marine fossils and parts of an old forest, petrified.
We pick you up by your hotel from 7:30 am onwards and we take the famous route 40 to go to Luz Divina, where we start our adventure. After putting on all the special gear we start to row through the Río La Leona (river).
The total length to row is 14 km. At half of the way we stop and left the kayaks to trek around 2 hours on Mountain Los Hornos. During the trek, we observe fossils and parts of an old forest petrified. After having lunch we go back to the kayaks and row the rest of the trip to Turbio stream, where we end the adventure. We set the equipment, put our clothes again and go back to the hotel, arriving at 4:30/5 pm.
