Your journey begins early in the morning with a shared transfer from your hotel in El Calafate to Puerto Punta Bandera. Here, you’ll board a catamaran and set sail across Lago Argentino, taking in breathtaking views of the floating icebergs released from the Upsala Glacier.
Upon arrival at Estancia Cristina, you’ll head to the stables, where you’ll be assigned a horse and provided with all the necessary riding gear. Setting off from the estancia, you’ll ride north along the scenic valley floor of the Río Caterina, surrounded by dramatic glacial landscapes and untouched Patagonian wilderness.
At the Laguna Pearson outpost, you’ll pause to enjoy a packed lunch while taking in the serenity of this awe-inspiring setting. After some time to relax and appreciate the views, you’ll make your way back to the estancia’s main house.
Should time permit, you’ll take a brief historical tour, visiting the Museo Costumbrista and delving into the rich heritage of this legendary Patagonian settlement.
As the day draws to a close, you’ll board the catamaran for the return journey, sailing back across Lago Argentino before a transfer takes you back to El Calafate.
