A perfect blend of nature, adventure, history and fun!
El Calafate hotel pick-up at 7 am, or shortly thereafter. Embark on a boat at 8.15 am at Punta Bandera Port to sail across Lake Argentino towards the Estancia, during which you will get the chance to admire the imposing landscape of the Upsala Glacier and its icebergs.
Upon arrival at the estancia, you are invited to visit the museum that focuses on the foundation and development of the ranch. Next comes a guided walk to the Caterina River and the chapel, and a tour of the historical centre of the Estancia. After this, visitors are taken on a short trek, lasting about two and a half hours, to Cascada de los Perros, a surprisingly beautiful waterfall surrounded by copses of Antarctic beech, and from where you can enjoy a bird’s eye view of the Caterina River valley and Estancia Cristina.
After touring the Estancia for about six hours, the boat takes visitors back to the port. A perfect blend of nature, adventure, history and fun!
