You’ll set off early in the morning with a shared transfer from your hotel in El Calafate to Puerto Punta Bandera, where you’ll embark on a catamaran and cruise across Lago Argentino. As you make your way towards Estancia Cristina, you’ll be entranced by the awe-inspiring sight of the towering icebergs calved from the Upsala Glacier.
Upon arrival at the estancia, you’ll board a 4×4 for an ascent through the rugged Feruglio mountain range, covering 10 km. From there, you’ll embark on a brief hike to reach a breathtaking viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the vast expanse of the Upsala Glacier.
Your adventure will then continue with a 14 km trek through the remarkable Cañadón de los Fósiles, an ancient seabed where the remnants of prehistoric marine life are preserved in the rock—silent witnesses to a world moulded by ice and time. In this extraordinary setting, you’ll pause to enjoy a packed lunch before retracing your steps back to the estancia.
