This program offers three full days in a heavenly mountain environment, surrounded by impressive nature in the middle of a reserve dedicated to conservation.
Don’t miss this adventure!
The adventure begins with a private transfer from your hotel to the entrance of Huemules Reserve.
On the first day, you’ll have free time to explore some of the reserve’s beautiful trails before continuing on a gentle, almost flat hike to Cagliero Hut—a cosy mountain refuge where you’ll spend the night. Here, you’ll be treated to stunning views of Cagliero Glacier and Laguna del Diablo (Devil’s Lagoon). Over dinner, you’ll meet your guide, who will accompany you the next day on the ascent of Cerro 30 Aniversario (30th Anniversary Peak). They’ll brief you on the day ahead and help choose the best start time for your adventure.
After a hearty, energising breakfast, you’ll set off on your climb. In the evening, unwind with a glass of wine and another peaceful night at the refuge.
• 30th Anniversary ascent:
Demanding/difficult activity – good physical condition required
Duration: between 8 hrs and 12 hrs walking
Distance: approx. 7.5 km from Puesto Cagliero to the summit
Elevation: 1300 gain
On the final day, you’ll discover hidden corners of the forest—perhaps stumbling upon waterfalls or witnessing Mount Fitz Roy from a completely new perspective. Finally, you’ll return to the starting point, where your transfer will be waiting to take you back to town.
