A mountain challenge, perfect for those eager to push themselves for an incredible view.
We propose a super demanding day of trekking in order to enjoy awe inspiring views of Mount Fitz Roy and its satellite mountains, from a unique and wild perspective.
The adventure begins in the early hours, as a transfer picks you up along with your guide and takes you to the Puente del Río Eléctrico. From there, you’ll start the trek with an easy, nearly flat two-hour walk along a gentle path leading to the Piedra del Fraile Refuge.
Here’s where the real challenge begins: a demanding ascent takes you through rugged mountain terrain, alternating between trails and completely off-the-beaten-path sections, crossing rocky slopes and snowfields until you reach Piedra Negra. After an additional hour of trekking, you will arrive at the breathtaking Paso del Cuadrado -a unique spot with panoramic views from the heights that few climbers get to experience.
Back at the Piedra del Fraile Refuge, you can choose to rest or add a touch of exploration to your day with a simple two-hour hike to Laguna Pollone.
At the end of the journey, you’ll return to Puente del Río Eléctrico, where a transfer will be waiting to take you back to town, carrying with you the fresh memory of an unforgettable day.
