A transfer will pick you up from your hotel to take you to Lago del Desierto, located 37 km from El Chaltén. Upon arrival, the kayak guide will provide you with a dry suit and give you basic instructions on how to use the paddles and communicate with the rest of the group. You will kayak on the lake for 2 hours, enjoying the beautiful landscapes.
After returning to the beach with the kayaks, the available free time in the area will depend on the type of transfer service booked. Passengers travelling with a shared transfer will have limited time before returning to town, while those with a private transfer may have more flexibility to explore the surroundings at their own pace.
If you wish to visit the Glaciar Huemul viewpoint, please note that an entrance fee is required and is not included in the excursion price. This optional visit is generally only feasible when travelling with a private transfer, due to time restrictions on shared services.
We recommend bringing a towel and a change of underwear in case you get wet during the kayaking activity.
