A trekking adventure with camping to visit the two most famous peaks of El Chaltén. A journey through breathtaking landscapes that leads to the bases of the iconic Fitz Roy and Torre mountains, passing by lagoons, forests, and towering glaciers.
You will leave El Chaltén in a transfer to Río Eléctrico bridge, half an hour away.
From here, you’ll embark on a delightful hike through a lenga forest along a gently ascending trail, leading to the Piedras Blancas Glacier viewpoint. We’ll pause here briefly to take in the stunning view of the hanging glacier.
The trail continues with some gradual climbing before reaching the challenging yet rewarding steep ascent to Laguna de los Tres. The effort is more than worth it, as the views at the top are simply breathtaking.
If the weather allows, we’ll enjoy lunch by the lagoon, taking in the grandeur of the Fitz Roy massif.
In the afternoon, we’ll begin our descent to the Poincenot campsite, where you’ll spend the night under the stars.

If you’re an early riser, don’t miss the chance to capture the Fitz Roy massif bathed in the golden hues of sunrise (weather permitting).
After breakfast, you’ll set off on a scenic hike to Laguna Torre, passing by the enchanting Madre and Hija Lagoons and traversing picturesque landscapes as you descend into the Torre Valley.
The trail concludes at Laguna Torre, a serene glacial lake framed by the majestic Torre massif and its glacier. We’ll stop here for lunch and take in the views before starting our return journey.
On the way back to El Chaltén, we’ll pass the historic D’Agostini campsite, once frequented by legendary climbers. The trail follows the Fitz Roy river valley, crossing ancient moraines and tranquil lenga forests, eventually leading us back to town.
